Long nose vs. balance?

I have noticed that I'm much more a fan of the more balanced proportions of the earlier 46 and 54 (which were the template for the new 61) than the late 90's models that moved the house back to create a long nose. Gave the feel of a larger salon inside as well. Thoughts?
